Overview

Built to Perform

This SAR High Speed Craft has been specifically designed and engineered to provide a stable platform for conducting search activities and effective extraction of casualties. It is available in the 7.5M and 8.5M editions.

The revolutionary and patented hull technology utilised in this High Speed Craft has been intelligently designed to operate offshore in rough seas.

Its substantially lower attack angle to conventional hulls and 25o deadrise means that it will easily slice through rough water without launching and limited slamming. It also produces better quality waterflow across the propellors increasing grip which provides superior manoeuvrability and tighter turning with little loss of speed.

Its superior practical advantage is the helm’s ability to easily maintain a constant visual on the horizon through its linear transition onto the plane which is derived by mitigating stern squat and associated bow lift.

Overall, this craft will provide greater comfort in all weathers by delivering intuitive handling, exceptional seakeeping and directional stability.

Built to last a lifetime using our patented DANU composite material. That said, the composite material itself can be recovered and recycled. This is the future of low impact and circular boat manufacturing.

Utility

DESIGNED FOR THE MISSION

This SAR High Speed Craft has been specifically designed and engineered to provide a stable platform for conducting search activities and effective extraction of casualties.

Fixing points are built into the deck as a standard feature to secure any additional or specialist equipment. Storage cases are built in, along with rope reels and forward and aft towing bollards.

Deck mounted cargo tracks allow for rapid and secure deck reconfiguration for high volume water pumps, additional seating or stowage.

Its advanced hull technology, robust monocoque structure, intelligent ergonomics and superior shock mitigation technology provides a safer working environment for professional crew at sea for extended periods.

The spacious ‘best in class’ deck areas are enclosed by high vertical sides which provides enhanced security and confidence for the crew when operating in big seas.

Extra-wide gunwales, incorporating a durable anti-slip coating, makes stepping up to a ladder or dockside easier and safer.

We have developed a heavy duty D-section fendering solution which is puncture resistant to provide greater protection to the craft when coming alongside repeatedly.

Overall, the craft’s reassuring ‘best in class’ payload capabilities, locker storage, operational range ensures that professional and commercial operations are safer and more efficient.

MOXHAM HULL

“Simply an Epiphany”

All of our High Speed Craft come from the drawing board of renowned designer John Moxham. In his illustrious career, he has designed everything from high speed craft for the Special Boat Service (SBS) to the fastest lifeboat in the RNLI, the E-CLASS (Mark 1) and was part of the design team behind the iconic supersonic Hawker Siddley Gnat fighter. Our revolutionary and patented hull technology fundamentally redefines the way a planing hull interacts with the water. It applies fluid dynamic principles conceived during the development of the XB70 Valkyrie high-altitude bomber to reimagine hull technology and hydrodynamic performance. The patented ‘golden ratio’ and passive hydrodynamic performance modification system were developed to ensure that every craft is intelligently designed for its specific purpose.

By modifying, and then manipulating waterflow beneath the craft hydraulic lift is generated. It also produces better quality waterflow across the propellors increasing grip which provides superior manoeuvrability and tighter turning with little loss of speed. Its major practical advantage is the helm’s ability to easily maintain a constant visual on the horizon through its linear transition onto the plane which is derived by mitigating stern squat and associated bow lift. In addition, this craft has a substantially lower attack angle to conventional hulls and its 25o deadrise means that it will slice through rough water without launching and limited slamming. Overall, it results in an exceptional hull with intuitive handling, exceptional seakeeping and directional stability.

ENGINEERED FOR PROFESSIONALS

This SAR High Speed Craft has been ergonomically designed with intelligent systems to ensure that the console, gauges, controls are all within easy reach and direct line of sight for the helm.

An integrated arm-rest means that the helm can maintain precise engine control irrespective of the sea state. The second twin crew console and seating is positioned directly behind the helm for navigation, monitoring communications and relay vital search information coastguard.

Compared to conventional boats of equivalent length, this craft’s spacious ‘best in class’ deck areas are enclosed by high vertical sides which provides enhanced security and confidence for the crew when operating in big seas.

The optional casualty recovery access platform allows for easier and more efficient recovery of casualties directly from the water.

Solid foam filled heavy duty cushioned D section fendering provide long life protection when coming alongside repeatedly and additional buoyancy in tight turns and heavy seas.

Extra-wide gunwales, incorporating a durable anti-slip coating, makes moving between boat and dock easier and provides a reassuring brace point that aids casualty recovery.
